The concept was envisioned as an event venue for Petco’s Tailgate Park.
The Padres liked the idea from an operational perspective and Sempra Energy recognized it as a unique opportunity to illustrate their commitment to renewable energy. The open air “Solar Sombrilla” features a tensile structure cable design utilizing Thin Film solar technology.
