HD supply has actively incorporated many green practices into the way they do business. It was a natural expression of that commitment that they chose to take a “broad brush” approach to integrating solar electrical generation into their Corporate Headquarters Campus. SOL Architecture studied every aspect of the site to develop a host of Photovoltaic Energy producing options, including:
- Rooftop High Efficiency Crystalline Panels
- Thin Film clad mechanical screens
- Window shade eye brow awnings
- Bi Facial patio shade structure
- Parking Canopies and Hybrid vehicle charging stations
- Net Metering Displays
All of these options were developed and evaluated with multiple manufacturers on the basis of power generated vs. cost and reliability.
SOL Architectures large scale scope process enables the client to see how and where they can derive the most benefit from the budget. This approach also illuminates which aspects of the project may qualify for tax credits, rebate benefits, partnering opportunities and Power Purchase Agreements.
